So, I was just sitting here thinking about all the beautiful people who have allowed me to become a part of their life and this is to you. "Thank you." It's really all I can say to you and it doesn't really convey how I truly feel about any of you.
Four of you are serving in Afghanistan. To you I say "Stay safe. Stay careful. You are always in my thoughts, my prayers, my heart. Each of you is so very, very special to me. I love you and I miss you. I am always here for you."
One of you is a (sorta) long time friend that I just got the chance to finally meet that is going through a really tough time in her life right now, but has always found a way to brighten my day through her thoughts and words. For you I say "Keep your head up. You are a wonderful and beautiful person that is so much better than the things going on in your life right now. Although I don't know you as well as some I love you just the same and I am always here for you as well."
One of you is no longer with us. To her I say "I love you, I miss you and I'm sorry. I wish I had been there for you."
And last but certainly not least, is the one of you that is (finally) back here. To you I say "Thank you. You were my rock, as I was yours, you were where I couldn't be and helped me cope with that horrible period and you helped keep me sane during that time when everything was insane. You listen to me when I need to just talk about anything and nothing or get things off my chest. I love you and just as you are there for me I'm there for you when you need it."
So to all of you, "Thank you. My life is better and brighter for having each of you in it and would be sad without any one of you. You are all very special to me; near and dear to my heart. You are always in my thoughts, my prayers, my heart."
